Bienal de Ilustración

Museography / 2024

I led the museographic development of the exhibition for the Bienal de Ilustración’s fourth edition, translating the curatorial vision into a clear, engaging physical experience. My work focused on spatial rhythm, artwork presentation and the overall flow of the show, ensuring each piece was placed with intention and that the exhibition unfolded with clarity from entry to exit.

A key layer of the museography was color: a paint brand sponsored the biennial and wanted its presence to live through the space rather than through overt branding. I approached color as a curatorial tool, using it to shape atmosphere, guide movement, and create visual punctuation across the exhibition. The result was a cohesive environment where color supported both the sponsor’s presence and the exhibition’s narrative, without competing with the work.

The project required a balance of curatorial sensitivity and precise execution, coordinating installation details while protecting the integrity, pace, and visual coherence of the overall experience.
